Portraits in the Studio

Des Moines, Iowa is full of wonderful locations including a gorgeous studio downtown, Rowan Studios. Gloria and I met up there on a Sunday to photograph her in this stunning long red dress. I turned up some tunes and we got to work dancing around and chatting it up while taking some amazing shots.

We didn't want this to just be some photos in front of a black background so, I experimented with prism effects on a few images that would highlight her in the composition. Something so simple can add so much to a gallery and can differentiate you from other creators, plus experimenting is all about learning.

I didn't do too many movement prompts, I wanted this to feel a bit more elegant. So instead I guided her through various standing sitting and laying poses.

Once again it was wonderful working with Gloria, she was as gorgeous as ever.
